End of Year Giving - Frequently Asked Questions
- There are three (3) individual Arizona tax credits available for schools and/or charities:
- Public School for extracurricular activities ($200 single filer/$400 married filers)
- Private School Tuition Scholarship ($500/$1,000)
- Charitable ($200/$400)
- Arizona Residents can take all three tax credits.
- The Foundation for Blind Children qualifies for BOTH the Private School and Charitable Tax Credits
- State law requires a third party funding source for the Private School Tuition Scholarship and the FBC has partnered with School Choice of Arizona.
- You can still take the donation as a deduction on your federal taxes in addition to the state tax credit.
- The Charitable Tax Credit is used to fund all of the FBC’s programs including infant, library, recreation and adult services.
- The Private School Tuition Scholarship Tax Credit is used exclusively for our pre-school and elementary students enrolled at FBC.
- To qualify for 2007 taxes, donations must be post-marked by December 31st or paid by credit card on our website at www.seeitourway.org.
- Checks must be made out separately to FBC for the Charitable Tax Credit and School Choice Arizona for the Private School Tax Credit.
- Donations may qualify for corporate matching programs.
- The Arizona State Tax Forms are forms 321 and 323. The 2007 forms have not been published by the State yet.
