Last week, we hosted our annual Snow Day at the Foundation for Blind Children’s Central Campus. Four tons of fresh snow were delivered to our field for a day of wintery fun. Snow Day gives our students the chance to enjoy and learn about snow. For many of them, it’s the first time they’ve experienced snow.

We love providing our students with opportunities to have new experiences. For a visually impaired kid living in Phoenix, Arizona, snow might be a totally alien concept. If you cannot see it in pictures and videos, you need to be able to feel it to understand. Snow Day lets our kids explore the new textures and sensations of snow in a comfortable, safe environment.

It’s not just about learning though! Snow Day was jam-packed with sledding, snowballs, and snowmen. Click through to see all the fun we had at FBC Snow Day!
