Q: Can I take this credit in addition to other tax credits, such as those for school tuition or foster care agencies?

A: Yes. All three tax credits are separate, so you can donate to FBC as part of the Charitable Organization Tax Credit, as well as to foster agencies and schools.

Q: Do I have to donate the full $421 or $841 to claim the credit?

A: No. Those numbers are maximums, so you can give any amount up to those numbers.

Q: Do I need a special form from FBC to claim the tax credit?

A: You only need your receipt you get when you make a gift. You will need to know the amount you gave and FBC’s Qualified Charity Organization (QCO) code: 20676.

Q: Is this the same as the working poor tax credit?

A: Yes. The Credit was recently renamed to the Arizona Charitable Organization Tax Credit.

Q: Will the tax credit amount increase in 2024?

A: Yes. For the 2024 tax year, the limits will rise to $470 for single filers and $938 for couples filing jointly.
